The Dry Arch Children's Centre recently completed our latest Health Promoting Homes initiative where 10 parents undertook an 18 week project which included:
- Cook It - a hands-on, practical experience of cooking and preparing food, as well as improving knowledge of healthy eating and food safety.
- Personal development and capacity building sessions in a group environment
- Physical activity which included Zumba and Swimming at the Roe Valley Leisure Centre.
Everyone who took part in the project received a free Electric Wok to help them put their new cooking skills to the test.
The Dry Arch Children's Centre will be running a new Health Promoting Homes project in September 2017. If you or anyone you know would be interested please contact us at the Dry Arch Centre on 02877742904 - there is a limited number of spaces available.
